This web page is designed for you to get started on finding various scholarships that can be used for study abroad. Remember, if you are a UNCG student going on one the UNCG's sponsored programs you are eligible for the IPC travel grant. This is not offered to students going on outside programs nor visiting students on our programs. Check with the IPC to see if you are eligible.
Jackson Library is a great place to start finding scholarship information. Go to the Jackson Library Reference Section and ask one of the librarians to help you locate scholarship information. Remember to be specific when you ask for help since there are various scholarships bases on majors, ethnicity, merit, country of destination, and need. Also, remember to ask your academic department about what funds are available. Faculty and academic advisors usually know whether special funds are set aside for student scholarships.
The link below contains a manual filled with scholarships you might be eligible for. There are, of course, other scholarship websites out there so be sure to be on the lookout. This document is divided up by:
- UNCG travel grants
- National Scholarships
- Area-specific scholarships
- Other scholarship links
