Visa Information

If you are studying abroad for a semester of more, you will likely need a student visa. We’ve created the table below as a reference point, but please keep in mind that each nation sets its own policies for students, which they may change at any time.

Costs are estimates and may vary based on currency exchange rates, individual factors, and updated policies.

► The “Processing Time or Application Window” refers to the amount of time the Consulate will need to process your visa, and does not account for time spent preparing applications, gathering documents, or transit via mail. Some countries may not let you submit your application more than 90 days before you travel, but you should begin to prepare your visa application well in advance.

► If you visa requires an in-person appointment, you will need to appear in-person at a consulate, often in Atlanta, Washington D.C., or another major metropolitan area. Consider checking appointment availability in advance so you may plan your travel.

► Don’t hesitate to contact IPC if you have questions about the visa process for your host country.
