Summer - ISA Stirling, Scotland: Scottish Studies, Humanities & Social Sciences

Overview

Studying abroad in Scotland offers a unique perspective into the rich culture and tradition that impacts everyday life. Once the capital of Scotland, Stirling is a perfect combination of old and new with beautiful castles including Doune Castle, which was featured in several scenes of the TV show 'Game of Thrones'!

Scotland is an attractive study abroad destination due to its proximity to the Highlands, academic offerings in STEM and Humanities, and its unique approach to providing a truly genuine Scottish experience. While studying here, students will have the opportunity to take classes in a variety of subjects including Scottish studies, history, social sciences, humanities, and many more.

Academics

During the summer program hosted at the University of Stirling, UNCG students have the option of doing one session and enrolling in two modules or doing back to back sessions and enrolling in three to four modules. Students can also earn between 6-12 credits from courses in Scottish studies, humanities, and social sciences.

The two available summer track options run between early June - early July and early July - late July.

Housing

Different housing options available to students include dorms and independent housing. More details can be found here.
